Agora at the Cutaway aims to provide a contemporary retail and dining precinct – an urban “agora”. Agora at the Cutaway blends urban farming alongside restaurants and cafes, with a market stall offering to mimic the natural progression from cultivation to consumption. The provision for exhibition art adds to the purpose of creating a civic and cultural space. The vertical gardens promote an awareness of nature and serve as a constant reminder of the earth based structure of the cutaway. It is intended that patrons contemplate the duality of urban creation and nature as they experience the various typologies of the cutaway.
