Native species of flora is deteriorating due to the lack of protection that humans provide.  The original people of the land believed that the land owned them. Due to this, they maintained the grassland. However, today people have the belief that they own the land, which is what caused the beginning of the endangerment of the natural habitat.
The aspect that drives the design of the Nature Centre is the use of cavities into the wall structures, indicating the damage of the human impact on the natural environment. The space gradually evolves to a brighter and less sterile space, to portray the benefits of knowledge and protection of the land. The contrast of the Natural and the artificial is to show the merging of the two to revive the flora of Australia.
