Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
The research topic is focusing on the value of history for community to form a sense of identity; The site is located in-between Australia Technology Park and Redfern station, which are being recognised as landmark quality heritages that read as living interpretation of accomplishment of rail construction history and now they both contain strong functional value to current communities.
The project is designing a pathway carried with a sequence of landscape that passes through three distinct landscape environments which are two plazas and a transition park. Together they address the issues of connectivity, hidden heritage, and incomplete functions in order to evoke historical significance and eventually form a common sense of hardworking society and community’s sense of pride to their history. By means of create linkage between two heritage sites, promote accessibility to heritage site, promote historical feature into landscape design, and insert additional function to the site.
